Wildlife Seen in, on, around and from Rocky Pond
Rocky Pond has been dry for a number of years. In late 2022 we started to rehabilitate the pond by making it deeper so it can hold more water and for longer. As it fills up with rain we will
translocate some aquatic and marginal plants.
All Photographs were taken by the website author on the reserve unless otherwise stated.

Rocky Pond November 2022. Rehabilitation work started on this pond in September 2022.
Rocky Pond May 2022 before Rehabilitation work started.
September 2022 Rehabilitation work to deepen Rocky Pond and remove silt so that it can hold more water and hold water for longer.
It is hoped the spoil pile will attract birds or mammals to use it as a neasting/denning site.
